Dear U2 Community,
We held a meeting at our Denver office with some of our U2 Partners. It was a productive meeting, and we were pleased to learn that many of our partners feel that the economy is recovering and businesses are resuming their investment in technology. This should result in another strong year for the U2 business.
There has been some big merger news in the U2 Partner community. In early April Apax Partners, one of the world’s leading private equity firms announced that it was acquiring both Epicor and Activant Solutions, Inc. Then later in the month P2 Energy Solutions announced it was acquiring Wellpoint Systems. Both companies have oil and gas-related solutions running on UniData. Only time will tell how these mergers might affect the overall U2 business. We live in interesting times!
